Sam Harris On Faith

More often than not, I agree with Mr. Harris.  I used to find it worrisome that Christians cannot come up with valid arguments to refute those who don’t believe. Christians (and atheists) use the same old debating points that clearly show we have nothing to offer but trite and naive answers to valid questions. Why can’t Christians let it rest and not try to back up arguments for faith with reason? It can’t be done. Faith is faith. You either have it or you don’t. And the more I think about it, the more I really don’t care what other people believe.  Nor should anyone care what I believe. It’s not for me or you to convince or unconvince anyone. In fact it’s the height of absurdity and pride to try to do so. If God is God, s/he’s perfectly capable of making herself known to inhabitants of this tiny planet without my help.
