“Blasphemy Challenge” Similar to Grade School Urban Legends

Here’s an excellent critique at the Butterflies and Wheels site about the latest atheist fad called The Blasphemy Challenge. Like most Christian fads, this one is also based in ignorance of the bible. Give it a read. All this reminds me of the Bloody Mary urban legend we girls used to “tempt fate” with in grade school. If you say “Bloody Mary” three times into a mirror, she’ll appear and kill someone. Pick the moniker, it works with “Beetlejuice” as well. Either way, this challenge is neither blasphemous or much of a challenge really.
