Oh my, here’s an article in the “I wish I’d written this” category of blogging. Excellent!! Needless to say, he’s absolutely RIGHT.

  1. **the β€œI wish I’d written this” category of blogging. **

So … you, too, wanted fifty comments telling you why you were wrong? πŸ˜‰

  2. Someday I may start a blog which says right on the top that I’m wrong. That would allow people to use their time more efficiently in that they would have no need to post telling me so.

I figure if the people who tell me I’m wrong as living examples of what it means to be right, I’d rather be wrong! The sages teach that in olam haba, the world to come, everything will be the opposite of what it is here; what is up will be down, what is left will be right. So, if I’m wrong here it must mean I’ll be right there. That works for me! :>)

  3. Okay…I haven’t read the article yet, but love the name – ‘The Naked Pastor’.

  4. Yael,

I think that’s exactly how it’s going to be, “the first will be last and the last will be first.” The way of the world is exactly opposite to the true spiritual path. I like the inspiration for the blog title though. πŸ™‚

  5. Leftistmoon,

I liked the name as well, so I like to cite his stuff as much as possible. πŸ™‚

  6. I read the article – still love that name.

I’m always amazed at how serious people take ‘the scriptures’ and want to argue the fine points of a verse.

The bible is not to be used as an instruction booklet on how to follow the proper steps to salvation. It is like a document from a free land that announces to us that our bonds have been broken and we are free indeed.

And to argue this point…..if you want to use it as “instruction booklet” – others may not. I’m pretty certain the Pope would be appalled at what I consider acceptable by ‘Catholic standards.’

Did ya hear Pastor Ted Haggard is back and asking for financial support for him and his family?
