The Only News Worth Talking About Right Now

You guessed it! Fall TV! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!

Premiers of shows I watch:

Supernatural 4: Yes it’ll be back October 4, Thursdays at 8 p.m.!

Dancing With the Stars 5: September 24, Mondays at 7 p.m. (all Central times)

Survivor: China: September 20, Thursdays at 7 p.m.

Amazing Race 12: Delayed until mid-season

Ghost Hunters 4: October premier, Wednesdays, 9 p.m. (Don’t forget the 6 hour LIVE Halloween event)
The New Adventures of Old Christine: Apparently the asshats at CBS are not renewing this funny show. Must be the same naval-gazng execs that canceled Deadwood and Carnivale on HBO.

Two and a Half Men: September 24, Mondays at 8 p.m. (I may boycott CBS on Monday nights just for canceling Old Christine).

Eureka: Has already started on the SciFi Channel. Tuesdays at 8 p.m. (You really should give this quiet little show a try).

Shows finishing up their truncated or split season runs in the next couple of weeks:

Dr. Who, The Closer, Mad Men, The First 48 (can you believe the people at HBO turned DOWN Mad Men?????? Are they insane? Apparently)

New shows that look promising:

Torchwood (on BBC America. I’m a sucker for sci-fi or X-Files wannabes)

  1. Heather,

I KNOW!! I thought for sure that they weren’t bringing it back, but come on! Sam coming back from the dead? Can’t leave that hangin.’ 🙂

  2. Exactly! And we must know how they get Dean out of his situation, as well. Plus, maybe Sam really did come back “wrong.” And we must know about the yellow-eyed demon and the boys’ mother.

  3. Heather,

I like the show because both Sam and Dean have their “morals” but both realize that saying something and actually doing it in real life are two different things. Dean always said that making deals with the devil and bringing people back from the dead is wrong, yet he brought Sam back. Sam always was conflicted about killing demons or those possessed by demons, yet here he has killed someone himself. It’s a very good show in that regard, I think.

Also, looking at Jensen Ackles from week to week helps a LOT with my interest in the show!!! 🙂

  4. “The New Adventures of Old Christine” is slated to be a mid-season replacement. See Wikipedia for the reference.
